序論

第3章：山下良平の「躍動」におけるエナジズムの具体例

3.1 山下良平の背景と芸術的進化

福岡県に生まれた山下良平氏は、ストリートアーティストとしての活動を経て、九州芸術工科大学（現九州大学）画像設計学科を卒業した。2002年に横浜に拠点を移し、2010年には自身のアートブランド「LIKE A ROLLING STONE」を設立5。ナイキやトヨタといった企業とのコラボレーションや、音楽フェスティバルでのライブペインティングなど、幅広い活動を展開している。2020年には、東京メトロ銀座線外苑前駅のステンドグラスアート「躍動の杜」を制作・監修し、公共空間におけるアートの新たな可能性を示した。

山下氏の作品は、一貫して「躍動」というテーマを探求しており、それは「生とエネルギーに満ち溢れた」状態を意味する。彼の作品は、アスリートや侍といった運動や力強さを象徴するモチーフを頻繁に用い、映画のクライマックスシーンのような、エネルギッシュで記憶に残る瞬間を捉えようとしている。特徴的な魚眼レンズのような視点3は、作品に奥行きと広がりを与え、動きの感覚を強調する効果を生み出している。

2020年には、東京メトロ銀座線外苑前駅のステンドグラスアートとして、山下氏の躍動感あふれるアスリートの作品「躍動の杜」が設置され、公共空間におけるアートの新たな可能性を示した。この作品は、スポーツの興奮や熱戦の感動を鮮やかな色彩とダイナミックな構図で表現し、駅を利用する多くの人々に深い印象を与え続けている。また、ナイキジャパン本社での壁画制作や、セーリング日本代表のビジュアルアートワークなども手掛けており、商業的な分野においてもその影響力を発揮している。
